Ok I gotta update one more time before I get off work because Eileen and I chat so much during work and its kinda funny so we need to keep track of all this stuff for our sitcom idea... we've already lost so much valuable material by not recording it in some way or other.
We were talking about how our assistant is off on his honeymoon in Hawaii and he'd be back in the office tomorrow... She asks me, "How many times do you think they did it?" EW EW EW too gross to think about. Our assistant is this guy from Bosnia who grew up in Israel and came here for college - he doesn't really "get it" (by "get it" I mean understand stuff people who grew up here understand) and, to quote Eileen, "he looks like the big V." I tell Mike this and Mike asks "Is she hot?" (the wife) and I reply, "We don't know, but we know he's not!" Man, we're so mean! This is the Seinfeld influence in our life!

Wow - you guys are gonna realize how bored I am at work today cause I'm gonna be posting like mad... Steph is moving into her new office so she's not on AIM as much this week and usually our days consist of IMing all day, starting at 9am (when I get to work). Usually at 9:15am, Steph will start IMing me, "I want to leave already." Worlds collide (Seinfeld reference) when Steph and I are both working hard at the same time. I found a new IM buddy this week - my friend Debbie, but we haven't been chatting too much yet. Mike is back on the east coast now and hes working at the hospital so I cant chat with him as much as I used to. Steve is online all the time but hes hardly ever there he just has his computer on 24/7 like me. Grace is also one of those who is always online but hardly ever there. My other friends have real jobs where they cant be on AIM at work.
I watched Life with Bonnie last night and my favorite part was their Halloween costumes - David Alan Grier dressed as Serena Williams and Bonnies son dressed as Conan OBrien. So CUTE! That show is pure comic genius. I love Bonnie Hunt. The first time I saw her was in Only You with Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey, Jr. and I've loved her since.
The Laker game sucked cause they lost but they were without a ton of people. Rick Fox was at the ring ceremony looking as fine as ever but hes suspended for the first 6 games of the season. Oh dont get me started on Doug Christie either I just found out how whipped he is. I cant believe people have known about this so long and Im just picking up on it now! People have been making fun of him for so long without me!! Steph gave me the background on Saturday and I looked it up on google.com. I found a ton of great websites making fun of him; this is the best one - "The Official 2002-2003 Doug Christie Post". Here's the New York Times article on their "unique" relationship and here's a picture of them. With all that I heard and read, you would have thought she'd be pretty like Jason Kidd's wife... My brother says Doug looks like Janice from Friends. When I heard that I started laughing because he really does!
I love Shaq - he has the best quotes! Here's some recent stuff I found from the LA Times -
That being said, the Lakers and Kings aren't close to being done with one another. Asked during Monday afternoon's luncheon about his toe, O'Neal smiled wryly and said, "It feels pretty good. I had Doug Christie's wife massage it for me."
O'Neal did some light court work Monday. Asked if his dash down the hallway Friday night counted as a rehabilitation exercise, he claimed he hadn't run, but had an explanation for his quick arrival beside Fox. "You ever see Jason from 'Friday the 13th' run?" he asked, smiling. "No, but he always got there."
Classic.

I really really need a new man. Its the only way to get my mind off Dante. I wish I still worked downtown cause I used to meet a ton of people everyday. I think it was also the type of work I did downtown though - I worked for a criminal defense lawyer and I was her sole employee so I had to go to the bank to make her deposits, the courthouse to file papers, etc. I was out and about and meeting a ton of people and I totally miss that. Before I met my boyfriend, I was flirting with a guy at the bank (Merlo), a guy at the courthouse (Jose), a security guard in my building (Damien) and a guy who worked on the 26th floor of my building who I saw in the elevator all the time (Sam, I think). Century City might even be cool for me to meet people. Instead, I'm stuck in the one office building in the middle of a residential area, with only 3 floors of offices!! (bottom floor is the bank, then there are 3 floors of parking, then 3 floors of offices) No one cute or even my age on my floor... Hmmm, there is this cute guy on the fifth floor of this building though - HEY, if you work on a 5th floor of a building that sounds like mine, and you've smiled at a girl who is constantly out in the hallway talking on her cell phone, introduce yourself!! :)
Eileen keeps telling me to go to the Bally's at the Culver Center cause there's cute guys there and my new roommate keeps seeing guys she wants to introduce me too. I just need to meet someone!!

Wow - that was 2 straight days of productivity at work for me... well, except for the 4 hours I was gone during the day. I snuck out in the morning on Friday to go to the doctor and I took my usual 2 hour lunch to hang out with my man. I didn't get a chance to post last night because I was so busy. I got a chance to kick it with Dante and then after he left (on bad terms), I went to Orange County to hang out with Mike, Nozomi and Amy before Mike's flight back to Rhode Island this morning. I'm watching the Trading Spaces repeat right now and I can't believe Hildi painted her face on that person's wall! Steph and I went to the Camarillo outlets today and then had dinner at her place (she loves cooking). It was a nice change of pace from my usual weekends where I'm usually in the apartment waiting to see if Dante will call or come see me.

Shoot - I was actually productive at work today. I don't even know where to start in this journal... I guess another reason I decided to create one is because my on and off boyfriend hates how I tell my friends too much about our relationship and this is a better way of getting things off my chest. His name is Dante and he is not only the love of my life but also the person I can never completely have. We've been "dating" since July 3, 2001 and this whole time I don't know if he has ever been faithful to me but it is hard for me to break it off because he is my first love and it is tough to let go of that first love, no matter what a jerk he is and no matter how bad he treats you. He has never been abusive to me but he hasn't treated me right either. We have nothing in common and come from different backgrounds, yet I cannot get enough of him. In my head, I know he is not the person I will spend the rest of my life with because I don't see the "house with the white picket fence" dream coming true with him, but it is hard to convince my heart that. I don't know why, but even with all the bad, I would be happy to spend the rest of my life with him... I guess it's because I don't know anything else. I don't know how another person would treat me so I don't have a basis for comparison.
Anyway, enough depressing stuff. I'm sure I'll go into more detail about that later anyway. I don't have much of a life. I spend my days at work and most of my nights alone watching TV. I hang out with friends but I never want to make definite plans with them, in the hopes of spending time with Dante. I drop everything any time Dante says he wants to hang out together and most of my friends are used to that. I tell them to make plans on their own and I'll join them when I can. Not the best behavior when it comes to keeping friends but my friends understand. Damn, I sound like such a loser. Bad way to make a first impression, especially since this is my introductory post.
Is it normal for someone to be so in love with someone who doesn't completely return the love? The only relationship I can compare this to is Carrie and Mr. Big (Sex in the City). This is sad to say, but even if I do meet an Aidan, I couldn't give up my Mr. Big.
I know I said I'd stop talking about him (for this post anyway) and I promise to do that now. I love TV. I need it on in the background all the time. I used to even watch infomercials but I've realized I have enough DVDs and videos to keep myself entertained when there is nothing on. I'm addicted to the shows Friends, Scrubs, Trading Spaces, Life with Bonnie, Everybody Loves Raymond, Real World... hmmm, thats all that comes to my mind right now but I watch way more than that. I used to watch Seinfeld, X-Files, and Ally McBeal (until Robert Downey, Jr. left) religiously. I was a TV kid also - my friends and I can get into long discussions about the shows we used to watch when we were kids - Alvin and the Chipmunks, Family Ties (Alex P. Keaton was the reason I'm a Republican), Jem, Care Bears, Beverly Hills Teens... ah, memories. Time to head out... post more later tonight.

This is it. The first post. I decided to do an online journal because I see so many people do it... now how the hell do we change what the background picture looks like.
The first post is always the hardest because I need to give background information. Actually, the first month of an online journal is tough. You want to get things in to let people know who you are. I'll post more later I guess, cause right now I have to actually do something at work. My co-worker (and ex-roommate) Eileen and I spend so much time goofing off everyday so I'm sure I'll be able to start my journal sometime today.
