It's confirmed - I'm on the VIP list for the Big Brother finale next week!! Too bad I can't stand the final 2 but at least I'll be able to see the rest of the people... I'm so ready for this show to end because of the final 2 and I can't wait for Survivor and Amazing Race to start!!

Oh my gosh, I just had an Extreme Mocha Ice Blended from Coffee Bean (had a coupon for a free one) and I'm just restless right now... too much caffeine!!!!! I thought I was immune to this because Red Bull doesn't affect me anymore (free Red Bull at work does that to you) but I've never been this bad with Red Bull.

September is going to be an awesome month... I'm going to the Big Brother finale on the 12th and a Showtime premiere on the 19th (Dexter? it's supposed to be really good but someone told me something about serial killers in this show so I dunno) and a Kings/Ducks preseason game on the 25th...

I got sooooooo bored tonight I decided to go to the gym... now I can't sleep and I just ate a ton of Pringles :(

Last week I did a bunch of shopping because I had plenty of money in my account... then, all of the sudden there was a levy on my account from some credit card Dante had opened without my knowledge years ago, and now I have $80 to live on until the next payday... He saw one of those credit card offers they send you in the mail, signed it himself, and sent it in and they freakin gave him the card!! Don't you idiots check to see if the mother's maiden name matches?? Freakin idiots. Then, he proceeds to have a girl call in as me and add him to the card, charge up the account and not pay. That freakin $1000 he spent has cost me over $3500 now and it's been so long I can't do anything about it. I am sooooo glad I smartened up, listened to my friends and dumped that asshole almost 2 years ago. Thank god I've had some money saved because they've taken a whole month's worth of paychecks out of my account in the past 3 months and I'll be ok after 8/31.

I have made so many mistakes in relationships it's sad... Dante was the biggest mistake I've made in my life and if I had a time machine (like Britney Spears thinks exists), I would go back to 2000, find a real job back then instead of going the easy route and working for Mona (a guaranteed job but didn't pay crap - didn't matter then either cause I was living at home)... I would not have met the scumbag downtown and messed up my life.

I kinda consider Don a mistake also - all I can say to him now is LIGHTEN UP!!... I needed him back then to show me how guys are supposed to treat a girl but if I had never met Dante, I wouldn't have needed Don. Also, never never never date someone who you will see in the office every once in a while... he moved to Florida! I thought it was over but he hated it there and moved back here. I was watching Treasure Hunters this summer and one of the evil genius really annoyed me because he reminded me so much of Don (it was the nerd who kept yelling at the asthma kid teammate).

I can't make fun of nerds though, I am a total nerd. My co-worker Vrunda and I want to get "Chill Town" t-shirts because we're one of the few people who watch and love Big Brother.

1st day of Memorial Day weekend and I'm cleaning my room and watching the LB marathon! I had breakfast with Jenny and Jim so I haven't completely wasted the day.

I was planning on going in to work today but I just don't feel like it right now. Next week is going to be hell at work but the light at the end of the tunnel comes on June 4th when Adriana comes back from her maternity leave. I will miss the clients I work on right now but I have a feeling I'll still be involved with these clients for a while (depending on how well Adriana's new assistant does with her). I will be working on other clients mostly with my promotion - I keep 2 of the current ones and I take on a lot of new clients I haven't worked on before.

One of my current clients even called me on Friday to wish me a happy birthday this weekend - I am surprised she remembered! She is so sweet - she is getting married in July to one of the nicest (and richest) clients we have and they are so down to earth. I'm going to miss working on their account.

...back to cleaning...

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to the ending of Amazing Race... my teams NEVER win this show!! The only exceptions have been Season 1 with the attorneys and the Family Edition with the Linzes...

I can never make fun of Monica's husband and his friends for being nerdy and bringing their laptops to a house that has 4 computers already, to play Starcraft because I was just in Marilu's room with my laptop and we were Google Earth-ing everything for the last 2 hours...

Why did I just waste a whole weekend day watching Real Housewives of Orange County?? I was too lazy to go into work today even though I desperately need to. I am paying the price for my Maui trip - there is a ton of stuff I need to get done ASAP. I only took 3 days off work!!

Maui was beautiful and the wedding was fairy-tale, but I don't have time to really get into it so I'll save that for another post.

You know I'm studying too much when I come up with the nickname "LIFO" for the new girl I work with... In cost accounting, LIFO stands for Last In, First Out. I have been working with her for over a month now and it seems like she has an excuse for being late every freaking day!! I can't believe the work ethic some people have. If you're at a new job, don't you want to try to do things to impress your new bosses, especially when you're still on probation?? She comes in at 9:30 on the dot when she's 'good', and 9:30 is the cutoff for being on time and being late. I feel like such an Office Space nerd when I keep emphasizing the scene in Office Space when Jennifer Aniston's boss gives her a hard time about her flare because, "What do you think of a person who only does the bare minimum?" Another thing about her coming in at 9:30... when we close the office at 5 on certain days, that doesn't mean you leave at 5 also!! She doesn't understand the concept of making up time. Even the slackers our office make comments about her - they just don't know enough accounting to know the term LIFO :) Alright, I gotta stop before I get more annoyed. Our bosses are way too nice - they give everyone a million chances.

So what's worse... sleeping with your contacts on or using Renu MoistureLoc to clean/soak the contacts?? I was going to get some new solution last night (either that or go to the gym) but I fell asleep after Amazing Race so I didn't get anything done! Now I'm awake at 4am and I can't get back to sleep. Tax season has been killer but I got all my extensions done yesterday so we're in good shape.

Gosh, these last two months have been crazy busy! Not only is it tax season, I'm covering a desk for Adriana (on maternity leave for 3 months), I have taken a CPA exam and have 2 more scheduled before May 31 and I'm trying to lose weight because I'll be in Hawaii in 10 days!!

Eva asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding (in Hawaii) - when I told Jenny this, she told me, "Stop talking to people!!" because this will be wedding #2 for me, #3 is coming up in July (Jennifer's wedding). There is a superstition that if you are in more than 3 weddings, then the "always a bridesmaid, never a bride" thing kicks in. Actually, I think I'm over the 3 because I was in my brother's wedding and sorta in my sister's wedding but I was trying to reason it to Marilu by saying international weddings shouldn't count because it's not the traditional wedding that we're used to here in the US.

I can't wait for this trip, even though the weather reports show rain, rain and MORE rain. It had been raining every day since February 17th but the rain stopped recently for a couple days - I thought that was it for the rain, but the weather reports show rain nonstop again starting Weds. I think we came to the conclusion that it rains for an hour or so and then its sunny the rest of the day... Hopefully that's the case! Maria and I are already planning our trip for next year though - Europe... and I'm trying to convince Eva and her husband-to-be to come with us.

I know I should be saving money right now because Hawaii is expensive, but because of all this OT I've been working during tax season, I already have the trip paid for, I bought a 26" LCD TV, and I just bought a laptop. No more spending for me until our raises in July!! I did get some employee of the month thing at work, so that's an extra $100 in my pocket.

I'm watching Apprentice in the living room right now because I am TiVoing 24 in my room... I was going to skip this season of Apprentice but my office-mate kept telling me to watch it so many times, I'm hooked now. He ke[t telling me about this dude Brent... such a character, so glad he was fired weeks ago. Why can't this team ever win?? It's so sad. I like Tarek and I don't want him kicked off... It's like Survivor - I love Terry but that damn La Mina kept losing all the challenges. I got my office-mate hooked on Amazing Race so we're even. At least my favorite team is doing well on Amazing Race (the frat boys).

This is a little late, but I am sooooo proud of UCLA for going as far as they did... I would have appreciated a win even more, but I didn't even expect them to get to the Final Four so I'm just looking at it on the bright side. I know I picked them to win the championship in my brackets but I do that every year, even when they were a 10 seed... I won our office pool though - my final margin was 20 points over the 2nd place person because I picked a lot of underdogs (total luck!) who made it pretty far. I would have easily given up the office pool win to have UCLA win the championship, but everything can't go my way. I love Jordan Farmar though... if I were a student at UCLA during this era, Jordan would totally be my Ray Young. :)

I am seriously going to cry... if you know me and if you watched 24 tonight, you'll know why. I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't watched it yet.

Alright, it's been long enough, I'm not spoiling anything - you bastards!!! You killed TONYYYYYY!!

That "some steakhouse in Beverly Hills" I was talking about in the last post turned out to be Mastro's Steakhouse - supposedly the best steakhouse in Beverly Hills. It was soooooo good that night and it is even good tonight when I'm having the leftovers. We were stuffed by the time the main course came around because we had the seafood towers (shrimp, crab legs, lobsters, etc), great bread, great caesar salad before the main course. Most of us got dessert too - Marilu and I shared some chocolate covered strawberries. You can imagine what the bill came out to be... Gary invited his hockey team (one of those rec teams that play at Healthsouth), their significant others, and me and Marilu - 30 freakin people total!! Most of the people on Gary's hockey team just know him as Gary, with a lot of money... they didn't know what he did for a living and the dinner was a great time for everyone to really get to know each other. His hockey team members were so funny and a lot of them were cute!

Oh gosh, this steak is still soooo good after being microwaved - still tender!! I really do need to learn how to cook.

I must have been sooo involved in my studying for the CPA I forgot that my co-workers from my last job would also be there. I never wanted to see Stan again and I wasn't too fond of the big boss Gus either. I managed to avoid saying more than Hi, how are you to Stan and Gus so it wasn't too bad. I do miss some people there (people I didn't work directly with) but I would NEVER go back!

It's CPA test taking time again... Monday @ 12:30pm... so guess what I've been doing for the last half hour...

GOOGLE Maps - I've been typing in random places and looking at the satellite image for it... Nice, France; Monaco; Moscow, Russia; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Naperville, Illinois (one of the 10 best places to live on CNN's list, a place I would consider moving to if I ever want to get out of LA cause housing is so darn expensive here!); Grand Canyon, etc. You get the point. The site is freakin' addicting!

At least my TV is off. I seriously can't study at my apartment! Too many distractions. I'm taking a break (official break, not one of these distraction breaks) tonight to go to some steakhouse in Beverly Hills for one of my boss' hockey team party. Tomorrow I'm going to a wake - my ex-co-worker Eileen's husband died last week!! I'm still shocked by that because he is pretty young - in his 40s - and he died at their house in Mammoth (he lives up here, she works down here and goes up to Mammoth on the weekends) of a heart murmur. Eileen has always been there for me, through the whole Dante situation, through me being too broke to eat because of Dante, my emotional issues, etc) so I have to be there for her now.

I've been watching too much TV instead of studying these last couple weeks - to summarize -
1. I LOVE DREW LACHEY!! Go Drew & Cheryl... I catch the show as much of the show as I can but Survivor is my top priority this time around.
2. I love Terry on Survivor - even though he's in his 40s, I think he's hot!!
3. 24 is Awesome, as usual... more awesome than last season. Wish Tony would wake up!
4. Ace is my favorite on American Idol this season - he sang the perfect song last week... I love George Michael songs! I can't help it, I listen to 80s songs all day at work (STAR is the only station we get clearly besides spanish mariachi music).

27 days until the show starts and my weeks can feel normal again...

I was just watching tonight's episode of American Idol and at the end, in the previews for Hollywood, I swear that was my old roommate Marcie!! She has a great voice and she's been trying to get on American Idol forever. Realistically speaking, she doesn't have the looks or the personality to win the competition but I'll root for her, if that is her. If you still have the show on Tivo, she is the one in the end credits/previews wearing the brown velvet zip-up shirt who wipes her head and sighs.

One of my friends at work was fired yesterday :(. She is the friend who is getting married in April in Hawaii. It came as a huge shock to me that there was even talk of her being let go because I thought she was doing fine. I first heard ramblings about it 2 days ago and it pissed me off because there are other people at work who aren't getting the job done and they're still with the company. I have been quiet and gloomy since I heard. I go to lunch most days with the girl (Danielle) my friend (Eva) works with and it is hard for me to be my peppy self when I think Danielle is the reason Eva was let go... don't get me wrong, Danielle is a good friend of mine but I think she does complain to the bosses more than most people do and I've seen it happen so many times when an account manager doesn't fully know how to handle the desk so they blame their assistants for not being on the ball. I've seen so many assistants fired because of this. The 'desk' (clients) Danielle works on has always been too reliant on the help of Charles and I thought I heard recently that the bosses told Charles not to help them so much, they need to handle it on their own.
