I should not be allowed to touch money. I just bought a large Jumbo Jack combo at Jack in the Box just so I could get the "free" Raiders antenna ball. Of course I'm full halfway through the meal... and I'm gonna have to throw the rest away. I have trouble finishing the regular sized combo meals!!

Two weeks ago, I bought the Schick Intuition razor (the one where you don't have to use shaving cream, gel, etc) because it came with a free FM shower radio... I admit, I really like the razor, but I didn't need a new one! My Gillette Venus was fine. That said, the Intuition razor is the best idea ever for us lazy people! My legs are constantly shaved now. Heehee - no more "cutting down rainforests" when I shave. You don't have to lather your legs and keep your legs out of the shower stream while you shave. The more water, the better with this razor.

Gotta go change... finally tanning today! Whoohoo! No more pasty white legs.

Eileen says Justin Timberlake is too skinny. :( He's still so HOT though!

It's alimony time again - not for me but for my client... Even though its not my money, it still hurts to write that check for $4000 a month (used to be $6000, including child support but the kid finally turned 18) - doesn't that suck though?? Just because you're the more successful of the 2 of you, you have to pay for a mistake you made, while the other one gets to benefit from it forever (unless they got married but who'd willingly give up free money every month??). Thats what sucks about taxes also... you get punished for working your ass off to succeed - the more you make, the more you give up and conversely also - the more you sit on your ass and the less you make, the more you benefit. Oh well, can't change the way things are. I think I'm just sick and tired of having to deal with other people's problems and having to watch out for them. I appreciate certain friends so much because I know they can take care of themselves. Anyway, the client is married to an actress now (who is also my client) and she is awesome - I guess its worth $4000/mo. to be married to her instead.

Watching the repeat of the MTV VMA Awards... damn, Justin Timberlake is so adorable!! "I can dance!" Put a smile on my face for once tonight - pissed at Dante as usual...

Who thinks I'm gonna break down and buy this?? I can't believe this is a $20 DVD - I guess they gotta try to make their money any way they can. I noticed that the record companies kinda anticipated Jessica Simpson's new CD sucking so they sold that for $7 debut week... this DVD should be way cheaper! I should just wait until they sell it for $5 at Blockbuster (the previously viewed stuff) - it'll probably be another week or two before they start doing that anyway. :)

Oh - I got a new cell phone and a new cell phone number - email me if you didn't get my email with the new number. The new cell phone is so cool - I've been playing with it all day yesterday and today. It's a Motorola C350g - I guess its a new model cause I can't find too much info, downloads, etc. for it online.

Roommate thing is too complicated to explain. Her boyfriend broke up with her because she wouldn't stop talking to other guys. She says they're just friends but we all know those guys want more. So he breaks up with her Sunday night and a guy comes over at 2am that night, then someone else comes around 11a, then when I get home from work, she's hanging out with an ex. Dante and I go see Freddy vs. Jason and when I get home, that ex is still there. Then the boyfriend that just broke up with her comes over and the ex is lying on her bed watching TV... they have a fight in my room and the boyfriend takes off. Then 2 other guys come over with a girl and a little kid... yeah I know - GEEZ. Dante and I are hanging out in my room and one of the guys comes in and was talking to us about how she's saying crazy things about suicide, etc. He says he was over at 2am the night before to make sure she was okay and she was throwing herself all over him, etc. but he didn't do anything because he has a wife (the girl who came with them) and a girlfriend already and he's not interested in her but his friend (one of the guys who was over) was crazy about her. It was about 3am by then and Dante and I were playing around in my room, he was tickling me and throwing me on the bed, etc and the kid was laughing at us. Then I guess my roommate started feeling lonely and she started crying uncontrollably and I had to stay with her in her room to make sure she didn't do anything to herself. I was feeling a little annoyed and I feel bad for saying this but it was one of the few nights Dante spends at my place and I wanted to be with him. Am I too selfish to want that? It was already 4am, I needed sleep because I have to work at 9am and she wouldn't go to sleep. I couldn't find that boyfriend's number so I call her dad and he comes over so I finally went to bed. The next morning, her boyfriend is IMing me telling me how much it hurts, etc. and I tell him how bad things were the night before (I didn't tell him other guys were over, of course!) and after an hour, I finally convince him to give her another chance. She called him when he was IMing me, telling him she needed medicine for her stomach and he told me he was going over. Then she called me on my cell just to talk and after a while, she mentioned that HE called her and then he said he wanted to come over but she told him, naw, it's ok :). I spent the whole morning at work making sure things were ok with those two, got no work done. These young ones... I just don't want to deal with anyone's problems anymore!

Damn... add to my day yesterday - a suicidal roommate (her boyfriend broke up with her because she wouldn't stop talking to other guys, even as friends) and 4 hours sleep. I'll go into more detail later. Did NO work at all today cause I was trying to mediate, etc. Plus, I'm reallllllllllllllly sleepy.

Yay! Big Brother on tonight. Damn, I'm pathetic.

And I was expecting a normal day...

So one of our clients called and said she thinks one of her employees is stealing money from her and that we're her witnesses in case the employee tries to kill her. Turns out the employee confessed and she "won't do it again." Yeah whatever. I hope the client fires her. The employee's sister also works for the client and the sister is way more trustworthy. The sister and her husband were the ones who sorta ratted on her. Oh yeah, and their mom stole about $5000 from the sister and the husband a couple years ago. Great family.

My sister called me on Friday and was asking me what to do if they found out someone was stealing money from their company. Someone wrote two checks totalling $14,300 from the company bank account and deposited it in a bank in two peoples' names in Torrance. How freaking stupid can you be?? Like the embezzler here who stole from the clients and wrote the checks payable to her name. Dumbassssssssssss. Anyway, I told my sis to call the cops, report it, and file charges later on.

My friend's credit card was stolen in the mail twice and activated both times. You're just sitting there minding your own business and people decide to involve you in some fraud shit so you have to take action to protect yourself. We totally live in a messed up world. You can't trust anybody.

And last but not least... drama with the assistant. I had nothing to do with it! I guess she messed up her computer AGAIN this morning and she had to go to the big boss (he's the computer guy) and maybe he was lecturing her or something cause I heard her cry out and then I heard the door to the empty office next to me slam shut and then I heard her say something like, "I'm tired everyday, I don't know what I'm doing here..." and then she left and I haven't seen her since. Eileen was eating in the kitchen and she said the big boss came in and had a talk with her - the assistant might not be back because she was miserable and unhappy here. Oh well. Its not like my workload is gonna get any bigger cause I never gave her any work in the beginning. She did all Eileen's shit. The only extra thing I'd have to do is the deposits and that doesn't take me that long.

Other than all that... same old shit, just another day.

I miss Justin already. Watching Big Brother isn't the same without him, but I know why he had to go, so its ok... gotta get rid of the strongest when you can.
Group Probing Schwarzenegger's Father - Oh my god. Get over it already! Why do they keep wasting our time with something a candidate's DAD did a million years ago?? The guy is freakin DEAD already! So if someone's dad did something questionable when a kid was young, the kid who grew up to make something of themselves could never be truly successful without someone mentioning what their dad might have done? Lets take Kobe's kid for example. Lets say Kobe is acquitted, and in thirty years, Kobe's daughter is running for Congress. Is the press going to come back to this story and try to dig up more info?? Why doesn't the press concentrate on what a candidate did himself TWO years ago?? Bustamante Scrambling To Salvage Credibility Using the N-word in a speech to black union leaders. Niiiiiiiiiice. I think someone was saying that the word doesn't come out accidentally unless you're accustomed to using that word in real life. Has the media brought this up at all since he announced he was running for governor? Stupid liberal biased media.

FOOTBALL?? No Big Brother tonight!! Normally, I would be psyched for football, especially a Raiders game, but I need my Big Brother fix, and Im not gonna spend $25 to get the live feeds on the internet. Even if I felt like ordering it right now, it would be a waste of money because the show is halfway (or more) over and because my favorite guy was kicked out last week Justin. He coulda been a jerk for all I know because I only started watching the show three weeks ago but hes cute! Maybe I just like his name :). I was looking through the message boards where people posted screen caps and I found this absolutely hilarious picture of him in the shower pressing his butt against the shower door. Goofiness wins my heart every time. I started watching the week Dave was kicked off but he seemed like a funny guy too. I saw this segment where Dave would cannonball into the pool every time someone was relaxing or sleeping on the hammock and finally someone managed to get Dave back when he was off-guard. The guys on this show were actually good looking Justin, Dave and Nathan. They were all kicked off and only the ugly ones are left. Some people say the same thing about the girls the pretty ones have all been kicked off and only the ugly ones are left.

I watched that Newlyweds show with Nick and Jessica and I have way more respect for Nick now. He has tons of money but he doesnt want to spend money to get a maid or hire movers. He does everything himself and I totally respect that. Some may call that being cheap but for a celebrity, its called keeping your head straight. Jessica is a total spoiled brat though but thats the way she was raised. Her mom still does everything for her, picks up after her, etc!! I loved that look Nick gave her when she asked, Why is tuna called chicken by the sea? Its tuna! (Its the same look I want to give the dumb assistant. A I cant believe youre that stupid look). Overall, a good show. Love their house though. Ill probably keep watching just cause theres nothing on Tuesdays at 10:30p.

I'm running into random people everywhere this week! I got into the elevator in this sorry ass building one day and this Asian lady got on the elevator two floors down. I thought she was looking at me but I wasn't sure so I just ignored it. Then she asked me, "Do you know Mona??" It was Brandon's wife! Brandon is the immigration attorney whose office was next to Mona and Don. Brandon, Mona, Don and Anthony always had their Christmas parties together and Brandon's wife (can't remember her name!) recognized me from that. And today, I went to Panda Express (3rd time this week) and saw Steve there. I never see my friends randomly in Culver City! Just Westwood.

The first two times I went to Panda Express this week, I went with Dante and there was this cute black guy there who looked like a way more mature version of Dante. I was sitting at the table facing Dante and the guy sat a couple tables down, facing me, so I got a look of the two of them side by side. Same coloring, same face structure I woulda totally tried to get to know that guy! I was really attracted to him, unlike the gas station guy a week ago. So today, I was just there by myself just picking up the food and I didnt see the guy there. Oh well.

Stan told us he sold his condo (on Sunset in Pacific Palisades) and he's just going to rent now. In the meantime, he's moving in with his mom. Imagine that. A 60 year old single man living with his mother. Heeeee. We've been laughing about it for two days. I don't want to end up like him. He's 60 years old, divorced, no kids, no property now, and a leased ES Lexus (the ones that look like the Corollas). I think we just like making fun of him because we need something to do. When I'm 60, I want to have the house, the husband, the kids, hopefully the grandkids and the job where I can just sit back and boss people around.

Ooh, I just realized my underwear matches my shirt today and my nails match everything! Ok, I know you guys didn't need to know that :). Steve - sorry for your pending nightmares, heehee.

You guys will be proud of me... sorta. Dante and I got into a huge argument on Saturday and I was so pissed off I was helping him sort his clothes (from mine) so he could move all his stuff out. I also asked for my key back... Don't open the bubbly yet. We talked and made up an hour later and I gave him back the key. Oh well. I'm getting closer to kicking him out of my life though.

I spent half the day yesterday trying to unclog my toilet. I went to Rite Aid and bought the cheap plunger they had, didn't work. James suggested I go to Home Depot and get the "master plunger" and I did, didn't work. I called the manager yesterday and left a message but I didn't expect them to come anytime soon. I got home today and my roommate said the maintenance person was here, fixed it in less than 5 minutes! It bugs me that I wasn't able to fix it myself because I am so used to finding my own solution to everything and not having to depend on anyone else.

My roommate and I decided to sublet our living room to my roommate's friend's brother (we have no furniture in there) and save a little on rent. My part of the rent is going down $100 a month! Every little bit helps - that $100/mo is going straight to my savings account though.

Sex and the City last night - I did NOT need to see Harry naked like that!! Its taken me a while to get over my shallowness and start really liking him. That said, damn, Blair Underwood is hot!! :)

Hey - just a word of warning to those of you who go down the stop signs on Manning... I've been going down that street rollin through the stop signs for about a year and a half now and yesterday was the first time i ever saw anyone get pulled over. Luckily for me, Dante was driving and he stops fully at the stop signs (he gets pulled over for little shit so he doesn't want to make it easier for the cops).

Freakin computer is so slow right now and Quickbooks freezes everytime I try to open a different client's file. That, on top of Ms. Incompetent (me: "Have you seen the Writers' Guild Declaration forms?", 5 seconds later, her: "uh, Wr-i-ters' Guild??", me: (think) "FUCK!" (say) "Oh, it's ok - I'll find it"). You think she does this to get out of working hard?? Play dumb, they won't give you work to do. I don't know what it is about this company. They hire the ones no one else wants to hire (with the exception of Dante) and they don't think about firing them when they realize how incompetent they are. The lady who had the assistant job before I started here was a 60 year old Russian woman who could barely speak English and they just moved her over to another part of the company. Thats what we're hoping they'd do with this girlie. Pay us more, we'll handle everything. Hire a student part-time to do the filing 2-3 days a week.

I'm quitting. Can't stand this anymore. I need to call my immigration attorney and my head hunter.

So much to say, so little energy.

First off, some guy gave me his number at a gas station yesterday at lunch. Should I call? And if so, when should I call him? He was ok looking, he's black, from England, looks older than me and drives a Benz CLK (I didn't forget about the other black guy in a Benz E-Class I met a month ago on my way to Target, but who I didn't roll down my window for... thats the only reason I took this guy's number - so I can call him, just in case I felt interested). He wanted to talk but I told him I was running back to work before my boss got back so I didn't have the time right then.

This morning, I was exchanging e-mails with a client's personal manager -
----------
Hi Harriet -

FYI - we got a check from the DGA yesterday because they did an audit on *** and found that "***" owed Michael some residuals... The check was for $77,558.85 and I will be mailing you your 15%commission check today.

Lucy

----------
Lucy

Go kiss Stan for me RIGHT NOW ...

Thank you ...

Harriet

----------
Harriet -

Ewww! NO. Haha.

Those of you who have seen a picture of Stan know how gross that is! A client got him in the Hollywood Variety last year and he had to send them a picture to publish... it was just a small square picture but it was NOT a pretty sight. Didn't help him get more clients either. I wish I had a cuter boss. The guy I would've worked for at the Beverly Hills company was way way cuter!

Couple of things from watching too much TV this past week -
*On Tuesday's episode of Big Brother, they showed the housemates talking about the Lakers and what a wonderful devoted family man Kobe was. Just made me realize how sequestered they were and how much news you miss in a couple weeks. Hey! Eagle County - There's your jury right there! You don't have to worry about all those "leaks" the sheriff's dept/DA's office has let out. I don't think I can stand being sequestered like that and not knowing what is going on. Every half hour or so here at work I'm checking "My Yahoo" to see if anything new happened!
*Last week I watched The Daily Show with Jon Stewart for the first time in a long time. It was hilarious and I keep watching now to see segments like the one that night but it just hasn't been as funny. Jon was talking to an "Iraq correspondent" - it was supposed to be 4am Iraq time but the sun was shining brightly in the background. The correspondent was telling Jon about how we were only 24 hours behind Saddam, then 6 hours behind Saddam. Then he says something like, "We're getting closer to capturing Saddam any day now but our fear is missing him and ending up 2 hours ahead of Saddam. The chasee will become the chaser."

Dumb assistant burned her hand trying to fix the copier yesterday. Why does this not surprise me?? Oh and she "broke" her computer again. I thought it was a problem with the network connection cables in the walls (cause it happened to me the week before) but the computer guy came and checked it out and he said the connection was fine. The assistant started April 1st and you know how many problems she's had so far with her computer?? Too many to count... and thats not counting the a) not plugging the printer power cable into the printer, b) not plugging the power cable into an outlet and c) changing the damn computer settings unnecessarily so nothing works unless you know the original settings. AARGH!!

I'm sure I have more to say but she's in here filing (or "FILLING" like she had on her resume) and she's bugging the hell out of me right now so I need to take a walk.

Tuesday, August 12, 2003

I was just watching Big Brother... ha! They didn't get me with the product placement this time - it was Subway and it does look good but I'm not going to be craving it like I was craving Burger King the other week. I am craving a soda though. Fast food sodas are always better than the liter and can ones you have at home. We go through so many liters of soda, lemonade, ginger ale a week here at the apartment, I have to buy a liter or two of whatever everytime I go to the store.

My niece messaged me during Big Brother to let me know Justin was on TV (the Miss Teen USA pageant) so I had to switch for a couple minutes. I can't believe how hooked I am on Big Brother though. I avoided the first 3 seasons like the plague. I was never into Survivor either... although I loved Steve's shirt with the "DON'T VOTE ME OFF!!" on the back.

One request though - Jun, the Korean chick - PLEASE put on some clothes!! She's always wearing bikinis and last week they showed her body from the day she moved in the house to the current day and damn, she gained a lot of weight. Almost makes ME want to go workout. Almost.
I don't understand why the assistant comes with a soundtrack. She's just filing and I have to listen to her sighs, grunts, deep breaths, etc. Oh, and I need to hang around more people who speak proper English. I'm starting to talk FOBBY now! The other girl I have lunch with sometimes graduated from UCLA but she didn't grow up speaking English so her intonation is all off and I'm trying so hard not to do that. Anyway, the assistant continues to bug me because of her incompetence. Last week she did a chart for Eileen detailing a client's maid's personal charges on the client's credit card. She labeled the spreadsheet "Visa Charger Make by Myra" and gave it to Eileen to give to the client. What the hell?? We can't give the client something like that!! I won't even send out a cover letter with one little spelling error or some irregular spacing no one would care about. So unprofessional. She wrote this memo last week telling us she's not gonna be here this and that time the next day and she added, "if anything need me done by Friday, please tell me." This is supposedly a college grad too!! Cal State LA... sigh...

I saw another commercial for "The O.C." - since when did OC deserve a "The" in front of it?? "The" is reserved for shit like "The Rock" or "The Hulk". I admit, I did watch the show when it came on the first time. It was on and there was absolutely nothing else on TV. I swear, thats the only reason I watched it! The main character seems like a poor man's version of Russell Crowe. It doesn't look like the show is gonna last that long. It doesn't stand out - looks like another 90210 wannabe, like Malibu Shores and some other shows that came out after it.

So I bet Kobe is happy Arnold decided to run. The news media started focusing on the recall instead of Kobe's case. The recall is a huge thing but the media wouldn't care shit about the recall if Arnold hadn't run. We forget the news is entertainment also - they need their viewers. Poor Laci Peterson - she had the attention of the news media until the war started. Now you hardly hear anything about her case. I learned about stuff like this in either a communications or poli sci class. The media tells you what to think, what's important and what's not. Korea looks like a dangerous situation but the news media doesn't care enough about covering it so we don't think its that big of a deal. We've had a standoff for like nine months but Korea gets no media coverage.

We just had a pizza lunch at the office. When the big boss is gone, the other partner throws a pizza party for us, on the company. The other partner is such a sweet guy and I'm sure he's a wonderful father. He was telling us that he took his kids somewhere this weekend and he got a terrible sunburn all over his chest. His daughter goes up to him and hits him where the sunburn is... instead of being adult about it, he hits her right back on her sunburn!! Makes her cry and run to mommy. Heehee, awesome guy.
Oh my god. It's 2:30 am, it's freaking hot and I can't sleep. I kinda knew this would happen already though. Steph and I had boba tea tonight and this was after I took a 2 hour nap at 6 pm. Good thing Evolution is on right now. That is my current favorite dumb movie... replacing Dumb and Dumber. I know I'm gonna regret this when I have to wake up tomorrow morning.

Thursday, August 07, 2003

Oh my god. Serenity now, insanity later. So freakin true. Started yesterday. I've reached the breaking point and I pissed off at everyone, everything. Was pissed at Dante yesterday but what else is new? I've been so patient with him, put up with his shit but I reached the breaking point with him yesterday morning. I was yelling at him and after he left, my roommate came out of her room, "Oh my gosh, I've never seen you that mad!" I called the phone company to change the phone number to my apartment cause I was sick of girls calling there for him (for those of you who didn't get the email with the new number, let me know). I was ready to change the locks too but I wanted to make sure it was what I really wanted because I didn't want to change the locks and end up giving him the key again. I also wrote this letter to him just for my sanity. If I wanted to break up with him, that would be the letter I'd give him. I must've cursed every other sentence in that letter. It started with, "It's over. I don't want to talk to you or see you ever again." and I go on telling him about how he's a nobody and he'll always be a nobody with his attitude and work ethic and having people like him in my life only brings ME down. I didn't give it to him though because when I went back to the apartment for lunch, we just talked and we didn't make up but we're at least civil. I'm waiting until I'm ready to get him out of my life fully before I give him some letter like that.

Then I was back at work and Stan was majorly majorly pissing me off. He wanted me to come in last weekend to work and I DID but it wasn't on Saturday like he wanted. Some people have freaking lives dammit and I see his face enough during the week already. I came in Sunday morning did my filing, etc. and I thought I got the job done but I didn't know he wanted me to sort through all the other junk in the office Eileen and I share. The guy who had the job before me made about 10 freakin copies of everything and I know all this junk is extra copies of shit that has been filed already. He told me yesterday he wanted me to come in this Saturday for 5-6 hours and finish the filing. There's NOT 5-6 hours worth of filing here!!! When he told me he wanted me to come in on Saturday he was saying, we gave you the raise because we like you and we want you to stay but we need to get the filing sorted out. I was just thinking, those 2 other companies who wanted to hire me were offering me $6,000 more a year than I'm getting here and I don't have to deal with bullshit panicking over every little thing. I just stayed cause I feel sorry for the guy. I'll probably just stay another year or so anyway. I can't quit right before tax season either cause they'll freak and if they freak already for every little thing, that'll be a major freak session. Mona never panicked, even when she had a defense reply to whatever motion due at 4pm in the courthouse and it was already 3pm and she hadn't started yet.

Today he has me looking for files I've never seen before just because I need to know what these two people did on our client's tour in 2001. I have a list of about 20 people, I found the information on 18 from other sources and he kept insisting I find this one file. After two hours, I find the file and it tells me nothing I don't already know. Oh, the employee's name is listed - what the hell does that do for me, I already know the name! Then when we were looking for that tour file, he finds this other file for a retirement plan tax return from last year. We need to do one for this year but no hurry... and he wants me to find those files too. So I was digging around for the past hour looking for those files. I understand those are my clients and I should know where the files are but am I responsible for people taking files from me or not putting them in the right place afterwards? I can't check everyone's work! Most of the files we're missing are sitting on the floor in Stan's office anyway. And if he hired some competent assistants for us, we wouldn't have this damn problem! I didn't even think of asking the assistant where these investment files were (she's the one who does the filing for the investment statements) because she wouldn't know! I ask her to do the simplest shit and I spend so much time explaining stuff to her I might as well have done it myself. Ugh!! It's just one of those weeks.

I did a buttload of laundry last night. Missed the Teen Choice Awards, Big Brother and Making the Band II. This is why I need TiVO!! I always forget when the shows I want to watch are on, especially Sex and the City. Every Sunday night at 11:00p, I think - oh shit! I forgot about Sex and the City again! I made sure I watched The Tonight Show last night too and I already knew it would be a good show but to have a segment with Ross the Intern (he's so flaming gay its funny) just made it so much better.
Ah-nold!!

I'll spare you all those dumb headlines I've seen lately. Give the man a chance - California is f---ed up already anyway. Ronald Reagan did as awesome job as governor of California and I don't think Jesse Ventura messed up Minnesota that bad during his term... not as badly as Gray Davis f---ed up California, anyway. Arnold did a good job in the last elections with his after school program thing.

I was wondering why Richard Riordan wasn't the Republican candidate for the elections last year and one of my friends from high school told me that the Davis campaign threw lots of money to Bill Simon in the primaries. When Arnold was thinking of running last time, the Davis campaign leaked some stories to the newspapers alleging Arnold had some extramarital affairs. Get ready for some dirty campaigning... The man should spend less time trying to save his job and more time doing his job! Besides, Democrats should have nothing to say about womanizing... *ahem* Clinton??

My old boss Mona, Ms. #1 Democrat, was at Gray Davis's inauguration ceremony when he was first elected governor. Now she hates the man. And what happened to that thing about Democrats sticking behind their man and not putting up another candidate? They can't say that the Republicans are trying to steal the office because other prominent Democrats (the real politicians, not Larry Flynt, Gary Coleman) are running now too.

If Arnold wins, I'm going back to school - a California public university - to get my MBA or whatever. "Lucy, why did you get your MBA?" "Because I wanted Arnold's signature on my degree." I finally bought a frame for my UCLA degree - one of those floating frames - and it has Gray Davis's signature on it. The only way to distinguish my degree from any other UC is Albert Carnesale's signature. Otherwise, coulda gone anywhere else and gotten the same looking degree (not to be elitist or anything, I just love UCLA and I worked hard for the BA).

Wednesday, August 06, 2003

I took a 2 hour nap tonight and I can't sleep right now so I've been watching a bunch of TV (yeah, whats new right?) I was cracking up watching the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. He tells it like it is and I like how he'll make fun of both Democrats and Republicans. Usually Hollywood only makes fun of the Republicans. Steve and I were on AIM and watching the show and he messaged me, "Jon just said, 'Suck it bitch!'" It was funny though - I need to catch this show more.

I also tuned into the Orlando Jones show for the first time ever. One of Jay's client's was on! She's really pretty and she has a pretty cool personality. Then, Orlando announced the band that was gonna sing - the Pharcide or however you spell it. I recognized that name but I didn't know from where. Then he said something about Tre Hardson and I remembered! Tre was the guy Amaya dated on Real World Hawaii to make Colin jealous!! Then I realized how pathetic I was for remembering this shit.

edited: Oops, I guess I'm not pathetic for "remembering" cause Kaia was the one who dated Tre on Real World Hawaii... My memory sucks.

So, no one won the lotto last night. I think we got the mega-number right in one of our 65 chances. Whoohoo! A buck split 13 ways. They don't do it right... you gotta go to the ghetto to buy the tickets, not West LA. How many times do you hear of someone from this part of LA winning anything? Give Dante $5, he'll go to the ghetto to buy some tickets and increase our chance of winning.

I was watching Making the Band II last night and damn, these kids don't appreciate the opportunity they have been given. Every episode there's a fight (everyone) or someone not working hard (everyone) or someone taking off when they're not supposed to (Babs) or someone saying they're gonna quit cause they didn't get their hair done (Babs) because the person who answered the phone (Ness) didn't wake her up. Yeah, dumbasses. Stop bitching and moaning and start writing some songs! They complain about what P. Diddy wants them to do and he's only doing that to keep their heads from swelling up. P. Diddy even helped one guy (Dylan) stay out of jail. I'd be kissing his ass if I was Dylan. Diddy can be an ass but get used to it. There are plenty of asses in the world and they are like that cause they can be. Good thing these kids aren't working for Suge. Successful people have a great work ethic. I don't like J. Lo but she works her ass off. So does Mariah, Britney, et. al. On yesterday's episode, P. Diddy was giving them this talk about work ethic or whatever and Frederick fell asleep sucking his thumb. WTF?? The American Idols people work hard and I'm not saying that cause I love Justin. Eden's Crush and O-Town never fought as much as these kids ('Da Band', yeah, that's their name. Recipe for success right there.) do, as far as I can remember.

I'm looking out my window and oh my god, that lady in the BMW can't drive!! She spent the last 15 minutes trying to get into that spot. For those of you that don't know, THIS is the view from my window. My desk faces the window and I look down on the little plaza all day. (BTW, the Chinese food place in that plaza totally sucks). I took that picture weeks ago cause I was bored. See that structure on the top left? Thats Westside Pavilion. I work that close to Westside Pavilion and I hardly ever go there.
