Watching Sex and the City right now... why don't they have any of those "sailor parties" in LA???
Heehee... Eileen and I were just joking around about her moving back in... just like on Friends when Joey moved out and Eddie moved in and then after Eddie turned psycho and Joey lost his Days of our Lives job, Joey and Chandler moved Eddie's things into the hall, Joey moved back in and they changed the locks... then when Eddie knocked on the door, they just pretended like they didn't know him, that Joey had been living there all along... hmmm...
Changed the title of my blog again... Seinfeld reference for those that don't know. YEAH, I'm Bored!

2 things - 1) You learn a lot of things by flipping through a Williams-Sonoma catalog... what kind of knives are used for what and that there is a overpriced kitchen gadget for every little cooking task you can come up with. The catalog is cool though - if I made as much money as my clients did, I'd shop Williams-Sonoma.

2) I need to vent about my roommate! You'd think Eileen and I would be on each other's nerves when we lived together cause we saw each other all day (share an office even!) and we lived together but surprisingly we got along great... we chat all day in the office, we used to go to lunch together too and some nights we'd still be chatting in the apartment (we're chatting right now!!) I've lived with Kristi 2 months and she's already getting on my nerves! She's a cool person and I don't mind living with her but its the little things that bug the shit out of me. Yesterday she was throwing the trash out (which I do 80% of the time) and I guess she decided, "hmmm, they haven't touched those potatoes in 2 DAYS, I guess they must want me to throw it out." She told me she threw them out because she "thought they were old" - whatever! I don't know too much about vegetables cause I'm a carnivore but I know potatoes are good for a long time. No one uses our living room because there's no TV in there but sometimes Dante would put something on her coffee table just so he wouldn't misplace it... she moves everything from her crappy coffee table to the corner where we put most of Dante's stuff from his old apartment after he moved in. She doesn't just move it there, it looks like she just threw it. A couple weeks ago, she parked behind Dante (we have tandem parking) and she just left in the morning with her boyfriend and didn't pick up her cell phone. Good thing Dante and I both have cars! He's been dying to do the same thing to her but I told him not to push it cause she was nice enough to let him move in with me without creating a big fuss... he said it would be different if she had the apartment first and I moved in with her but thats not the case. If she moved out, he'd just pay the other half of the rent or we'd find someone else to move in. I don't think it would be too hard to find a new roommate. I already told Kristi before she moved in that Dante would be around a lot and that he had a key to the apartment. Oh! and another thing... the things she says bugs too - she was telling me she was looking in our fridge and Dante and I have all the white bread, Jell-O, soda, unhealthy "American" stuff... she and Johnny (her boyfriend) eat all the healthy stuff - wheat bread, brown rice, wine, etc... trying to sound like they were better than us. Damn girl, you guys are both twice our sizes! She's big (probably twice as big as me) and her boyfriend weighs exactly what Dante and I weigh, added up.

Ahhh... that feels better to get it off my chest.
AAAHHH!!! Whats wrong with me?? First I'm hooked on O-Town's "These Are the Days" and now I love Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me a River"... someone shoot me now... I promised myself I wouldn't fall for boy bands again after learning my lesson with New Kids on the Block!
Passions is so lame...

Kay: Daddy I'm so sorry.
Sam (Kay's Dad): Honey, what's wrong?
Kay: I'm pregnant...
Sam: Who did this to you??
Kay: I'll never tell you who got me pregnant!
Sam: I'm going to find out who got you pregnant and kill him...
Kay: No, Daddy! Don't hurt Miguel!

And I thought they were going to drag this out 2 weeks like they do with everything. What makes this scene better is the *outstanding* acting! Yet I still watch...

Back to work today... I felt bad because I didn't wake Dante up at 6:15a like I usually do - I'd usually press the snooze button and stay awake long enough to make sure he got out of bed - this morning, I just pressed the snooze alarm and went back to sleep. I didn't realize it until he got up at 6:30a himself to go take a shower (there was no hot water by the way!) and after Dante left for work, I went back to sleep. Then, at 8:10a, I looked at the alarm clock and shot out of bed thinking I was late and wondering why my alarm didn't go off. I threw on clothes and was ready to head out the door when I remembered - Oh yeah, I don't have to be at work until 9:00a. Amazing what two extra days off does to your mind. (not that I'm complaining!)

Some lucky guy in West Virginia won $314 million ($117 million after the lump sum thing and taxes) - is it even possible to spend that much money?? Dante is the king of spending money but even he said he wouldn't be able to spend that much money. At lunch, Steph and I were contemplating how to spend $100 million. Even if you buy a house and a nice nice car, that would only be $15 million max. I'd buy a couple businesses (so I still get income), probably buy or build a hotel in Las Vegas (I was just watching Oceans Eleven the other night), put aside money for a maid for my house, oooh! buy a sports team! ... It is tough to spend that much money!! I've been cheap for so long I don't know what I'd do with money. Heehee Steph can hire Jamie Oliver (The Naked Chef) to be her personal cook...

Christmas... and the highlight of my day is the Trading Spaces marathon! Just kidding... I had a 'fun-filled' day - lunch with the family, Las Vegas Bowl (thank god UCLA won, it would have been unforgiveable if they didn't), hanging out with Grace, Lakers Kings game (ugh). But back to the Trading Spaces marathon... I've watched five episodes since my dream the other night and Vern wasn't on any of the shows. Now that I think about it, I don't know why I had that date with Vern - Doug and Ty are more my type - goofballs - (if you don't consider age, but Vern is old too).

I was watching Office Space last night and this part had me cracking up!

Samir: No one in this country can ever pronounce my name right. It's not that hard. "Na-ee" and then "anajaad". Nayeenanajaad.
Michael: Yeah, well at least your name isn't Michael Bolton.
Samir: There's nothing wrong with that name.
Michael: There was nothing wrong with that name, until I was 12 years old and that no talent ass clown became famous and started winning Grammys.
Samir: Why don't you just go by Mike instead of Michael?
Michael: No way. Why should I change? He's the one who sucks.

The guy who plays Michael is the epitomy of a nerd so its so funny to hear him say that so passionately.

Maybe I should start taking Nyquil more often... Last night I had a dream that I was on a date with Vern Yip from Trading Spaces. It was an innocent, kinda boring date (we didn't even kiss!) but I can never look at Vern the same way again. At the end of the date, he asked me straight out if I liked him and he wanted to know where we stood (as a couple) and I was trying to figure out how to tell him I live with my sorta ex-boyfriend. Then I was thinking how cool it would be to date Vern - people would be jealous of me because Vern is so cool on the show... I felt so guilty when I woke up next to Dante even though I have no idea of where Dante and I stand relationship-wise.

I had a dream like this a couple months ago but it was James Hyde (Sam from Passions). Whats with these dreams with guys that much older than me? I'm sure those guys aren't THAT old, but I like to stick to the 4 years age range (+/-).

This totally sucks... the other companies on this floor had half day today and all my friends who are on AIM aren't online right now! My window overlooks Overland Avenue and I can see all the traffic going into Westside Pavilion... I need to START my Christmas shopping!! I have an advantage over everyone on the street right now - I can walk to the mall and not have to worry about parking, but no, I'm stuck at work. We gotta work Monday and Tuesday (I think) next week too. I'm so behind right now in everything - I've written 3 Christmas cards so far but I haven't mailed them yet and they're sitting at my apartment right now. I'll turn the others into Happy Holidays cards I guess. I've only bought one gift so far for Christmas (Mike - it was easy) and I'm supposed to have dinner with two friends tonight (Steve and Jennifer) to exchange our Christmas gifts. Let's see how much I can do in an hour after I get off work and before I head over to Steve's apartment. It would help if I had any idea what to get them too, I guess. (hmmm... Stan is out of the office right now... naw, I'll be good - with my luck, he'll drive by or Gus will look out his window and see me walking to the mall)

Check out this game - Get Santa Drunk!

Heehee - assistant is wearing the same shirt as Stan again for the second time this week! I told him to keep an extra shirt in his car...
There was nothing on TV last night and Dante was on the computer all night playing his computer racing game thing so I was just channel surfing... I turned to E! and they had "Wild On: Taiwan (Pleasure Island)" - so awesome. The funniest part was when they went to Hooters in Taipei and as an Asian, I can tell you Asians have no boobs... Dante saw, and he said, "Even you could work at Hooters in Taiwan!!" I'm not going to take that as an insult :).

I was listening to Jamie and Danny this morning on STAR 98.7 and they were talking about how Oprah is going to adopt this village and feed them every day for a year. "What are they going to do on day 375???" (Jamie figures that the food will last 10 days after Oprah stops feeding them) - and this brings on the age old question - Is it better to have loved (or whatever-ed) and lost or never to have loved (or whatever-ed) at all? It is so hard for people to go back to the way they were before a major change or experience in their life. I think thats why I put up with Dante so much - I was fine before I met him but now, if we just completely stopped talking or hanging out, I'd be really really lonely, even though I have my network of friends to help me through it. I guess it doesn't help that we're living together... Anyway, back to Jamie - she was wondering if Oprah would fly Wolfgang Puck down to whatever village she adopts to have him cook for them. That would be nice :).

MAJOR DRAMA at work today - Eileen was in a bad mood this morning and Stan just put her over the edge when he called her to talk about some client we lost. She's been wasting so much time taking care of that client that she got more pissed off - she has a valid point though - "Why don't we work on clients we do have instead of wasting our time on clients who left us??" So she left and I don't know what's going on right now. Stan buzzed me a little while after she left to ask me if I have her cell phone number and I know she has two cell phones but I gave him the "Stan line" - the number she gives to people she doesn't want to talk to and she won't pick up most of the time.

IT'S NOT EVEN 5:00 YET?!!?
Mike posted a message on our message board for the fantasy football league we're in - his team name is "The Tight Ends" - the ultimate name for a football team in my opinion - RETURN OF "THE TIGHT ENDS" We're back, and our ends are tighter than ever!

Lucyla8: ok - cute message though
bananame69: cute?
Lucyla8: funny
Lucyla8: i mean
bananame69: =)
bananame69: i just want to make people take notice
bananame69: that my team is tight
Lucyla8: and brag about your tight end
bananame69: =)
Lucyla8: which i dont want to know anything about
bananame69: tighter than ever
Lucyla8: eww

What is it with butts all of the sudden? Last night Dante and I were comparing butt sizes again in the bathroom mirror (he says I have no ass) and he scrunched up his boxers so he could see what his butt would look like if he was a woman in tight pants - he has a female ass! I don't even want to get started on those women with big butts wearing the tight tight pants where you can see their panty lines or thong lines... EEWWWW!

There was a part in Barbershop where Ricky (Michael Ealy!) talks about the difference between a WOMAN with a BIG ASS (J. Lo) and a BIG ASS WOMAN (Mother Love) - it was hilarious... I gotta wait til it comes out on DVD Jan 1st to refresh my memory though.

Stupid old bitch at work just went off on me for something I didn't even do... it was my assistant again (guys do NOT pay attention to detail) and I'm sick of this. That bitch gets berated so much by the big boss Gus that she feels the need to do it to other people too I guess... well, I hope Gus yells at her more now - if I could put a curse on her, I'd do it :). I don't even work for her! Stan just asks me to give her these papers for tax projections and duh, I don't have the experience the old people here do so how the hell should I know? "You need to stop using the excuse that you don't know what you're doing cause they're paying you to know the stuff." They're not paying me enough bitch. I'm so glad Eileen was a witness to this cause I've been telling her how much I hate Violet and now she knows why. Stupid assistant put the wrong date on the check to the FTB and all it takes is a simple phone call but stupid bitch wanted to take that out on someone.

Tuesday, December 17, 2002

I was watching the news this morning and I heard that McDonald's to Post First-Ever Loss... I guess it might be because Dante and I haven't gone there as much this 'quarter' (October 1st - December 31st) since he wants Del Taco every freakin day :). We've actually been saving money lately because we've been making hamburgers on the George Foreman Grill (greatest gadget ever!) whenever we're hungry. So if we're to blame for the economy (McDonald's loss caused the stock market to drop today)... sorry Prez Bush.

I watched the first 2 parts of VH1's "I love the 80s" sort-of miniseries yesterday and it was awesome... so many memories. Back to the Future triology out on DVD today!! That was my absolute favorite movie as a kid - I wanted a DeLorean so bad! And Michael J. Fox was my dream guy.

I'm getting used to this living with Dante thing... but I gotta say, boys are such babies when they're sick. "Ba---by... I'm sick... Can you run me a bath? And make me some tea?" in that 'I'm so weak' voice...

Heehee - my client just called me to find out our holiday schedule at this office. I told him we have the 25th and the 1st off and we might have the 24th off (I assuming we do because our annual Christmas lunch is on the 23rd but we haven't gotten a memo about the 24th yet) and he said, "So Scrooge is going to have you guys working during the holidays huh?" hell yeah. :( I wish I did work for Jay full time - he's giving his staff (and me, part-time) 2 weeks off for the holidays.

Eileen just sent me this e-mail:

> > WHAT I HAVE LEARNED AS I MATURED

> > I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in.

> > I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people are just assholes.

> > I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and it only takes suspicion, not proof, to destroy it.

> > I've learned that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you'd better have a big weenie or huge boobs.

> > I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to others - they are more screwed up than you think.

> > I've learned that you can keep puking long after you think you're finished.

> > I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, unless we are celebrities.

> > I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades, and there had better be a lot of money to take its place.

> > I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon and all the less important ones just never go away.

So true...

And I just sent this to her: (found it on someone's journal)

HOW TO IMPRESS A WOMAN
Compliment her,
respect her,
honor her,
cuddle her,
kiss her,
caress her,
love her,
stroke her,
tease her,
comfort her,
protect her,
hug her,
hold her,
spend money on her,
wine and dine her,
buy things for her,
listen to her,
care for her,
stand by her,
support her,
hold her,
go to the ends of the Earth for her.

HOW TO IMPRESS A MAN
Show up naked.
Bring food.

Changed the name for my journal - instead of Cheaper than Therapy (which does cost a lot), I decided on I Might Need Therapy based on Jamie Foxx's HBO special - I Might Need Security... I don't know why I did it, I'm just bored.
I set a new record for myself - it took me 4 minutes to get to work this morning!

I'm so happy my friends know me so well... Dante and I were just watching the Laker game last night and he was sitting in front of my computer when Mike messaged me... Dante wanted to play with him and pretend to be me but I told him, "You can try that with other people, but Mike, Steph and Steve know me so well you shouldn't even bother." He still wanted to try and less than two minutes into the conversation he starts laughing: Mike typed in, "man, put lucy on the computer" He was impressed and he was just saying, "That's a friend for you..." I got on the computer and Mike knew it was me... Dante had me ask Mike when he knew it wasn't me, what gave it away. Then Dante tried to be smart and get back on the computer a little later. I left to go pick up Monica to go to Target and Dante called my cell - "He wrote this, what do I write now? ... He's not responding! Maybe he's onto us." I was on the phone trying to help him and then I just told him to talk about the Broncos or something but call them "sorry ass Broncos" cause thats what I would say... didn't work. Dante starts laughing and he said Mike wrote, "Whats going on over there?"

I also messaged Monica "I'm coming over right now" before I left so Monica writes back "Ok, I'll be outside in 7 minutes" and Dante wrote "No, don't leave yet, I'm talking to Steve right now"... Monica chats with Dante a little bit and when I pick her up and I'm on the phone with Dante discussing the Mike situation, she said she thought something was weird. Dante also tried to pretend to be me a couple weeks ago with Steph but she knew it was him the whole time and I knew she would know it wasn't me.

Yeah, we get bored at the apartment sometimes... there's only so many movies you can watch tons of times every time it comes on cable.

Tuesday, December 10, 2002

Aaargh!! Had the most unproductive lunch imaginable today... I would've been better off going back to my apartment to watch soaps like I usually do. Instead, I drove all the way out to Pasadena (25 miles each way!) to pay a ticket for Dante so he can get an abstract and get his license back, looked for parking for 5 minutes, took 10 minutes to get inside, waited in line for 30 minutes even though there were only 3 people ahead of me when I got there... all just to have the lady tell me I couldn't pay the ticket because its Dante's ticket and he has to sign this notice for traffic school and "it's a legal document so you can go to jail if you forge the signature" and that there was no way I could get around that - first of all, yeah right I'd forge a signature there at the window in front of a court employee - COMMON SENSE! she didn't have to tell me that - and secondly, I worked for a criminal defense attorney for 3 years off and on and she would have me sign her court pleadings all the time when she wasn't in the office... I'd just sign her name, slash, my initials... I've even signed for the prosecution (with their permission of course). I called Denise (Donald Re's secretary, she has decades of legal experience) after I left the Pasadena court just because it was bugging me so much and she told me there was a way for me to have paid that ticket and gotten the abstract if I had his permission... oh well. Then I had to deal with the usual sucky drivers on the way back and I stopped by McDonalds to get some of those $1 chicken nuggets but there were so many cars lined up at the drive-thru I just decided it wasn't worth it and came back to the office.
Clooney is on Leno right now, just being his usual charming self... I would do anything for that man... :)

I went to my part-time job tonight and Jay wasn't there but one of his other assistants was and the two of us just started talking... Veree is so cool! We were just exchanging stories on boyfriends, players, life experiences, etc... she says I should definitely date older men and that Dante is way too young - never date a younger guy who looks good and knows he looks good... you'll get hurt. We've had so many of the same experiences and we had so much fun talking it was a wonder we got any work done. I've met a new friend! After college, you pretty much have your group of friends set because you don't get opportunities to meet people and just make friends after that. The only 2 close friends I've met after college are Eileen and now Veree - both friends from work. Felita is also a friend but we just don't have that much in common.

Damn, Juliana Margulis has gotta be the luckiest actress ever... to play Clooney's girlfriend for so many years on ER...

UCLA Fires Football Coach Bob Toledo... oh well. I like Coach Toledo because I still remember all the good times we went through in football when I was in college - we won 20 straight games and was on the road to the national championship in football (we've never won it before in football) until one stupid call by a referee in the Miami game (it wasn't a fumble! his knee was down!), we won 8 straight against U$C and the team was fun to watch. I feel bad for UCLA coaches in general - you lose a game and the alumni is calling for your head. Coach Lavin has it the toughest - no one can compare to John Wooden - 11 championships in 12 years, etc... personally, I like Coach Lavin - all the girls at UCLA like him because he's cute but he's also the nicest person and the greatest recruiter. I talked to him once after a game and he asked which high school I went to, I said, "Villa Park" and he knew the players that came out of my little high school - Eric Chenowith, Isaiah Cavaco, etc... it took him a second to remember the coach's name but it impressed me because I forgot his name and I went to that high school for 4 years.

This was a good weekend overall, except for us losing to Washington State in football... unless you look on the bright side and realize our loss prevented U$C from making the Rose Bowl... UCLA basketball won, Lakers won (miracle comeback last Friday - we were down by 27 at the end of the third quarter and won by 2, then we beat Utah - hate the Jazz), Raiders kicked ass and are now in first place in the division...

Its funny the changes you make in your life when you live with someone. And the things you learn about a person... Dante and I have been together on/off since July 4, 2001 and I thought I knew him well because we have spent a lot of time together this past year (after I moved out of the house and into my apartment) but living together makes things a lot different. Since he moved in and made himself comfortable, he's become more of a slob and I have become more of a neat freak. I am always picking up clothes off the floor and throwing trash away, straightening up the messes on my desk. I need to buy a napkin holder for my desk because we eat in my room and when he doesn't see napkins lying around, he'll use the carpet! :)

Friday, December 06, 2002

Maybe living with Dante isn't as great as I thought it would be... I love coming home to him every night and just kicking it with him but there are just times you need a little personal space. I wish Kristi and I had a TV in the living room so I'd have some other room to be in. Everything I have personally is in my room - TV, VCR, DVD, computer, radio, etc. Last night he had the song "Braid my Hair" by Mario on repeat from the time I got home from Steph's place at 9:30p to past midnight. He was either on the phone, downloading songs or chatting online that whole time and singing "braid my hair, why don't you braid my hair"... I wanted to tell him "dammit - learn another line! and besides, you don't have any hair to braid!!" I was on the bed flipping through the People Magazine I "borrowed" from the office (which I forgot to bring back this morning - hope they don't notice until after lunch, when I can go home and bring it back) and even pictures of the sexiest men alive couldn't keep me from getting irritated.

Thursday, December 05, 2002

We had the TV on the hip hop/rap music channel this morning and a song from the Barbershop soundtrack came on... just jogged my memory on how cute Ricky from the movie is... Michael Ealy. Natural blue eyes!! heehee Steph has been listening to me talk all day about how cute this guy is. He looks a little like Ray Young and I'm not sure if I'm going back to "that type" now... the thuggish type, instead of the pretty boys but he's also a pretty boy... kinda like Rick Fox - he's a thuggish type pretty boy... I'm confusing myself now so I'll just say this: they're hot, no matter what. Michael Ealy is also in Bad Company (Jenny and I both liked it but the movie flopped in the theaters) so now I have to go back and watch it again to look for him. He has a part in the Soul Food series on Showtime and he said one of the actors (who just happens to be Jay's client - I just worked on his account yesterday) really helped him out when he was getting started. I have a connection to him!! Jay should totally get him as a client.

I was watching Making the Band II (with P. Diddy) this weekend and it just occurred to me how much I admire the people on the show. They have a dream and they do anything they can to achieve it. Maybe I feel this way because I'm frustrated that Dante says he wants to be an actor and I've given him at least 2 big opportunities to personally meet Eileen's clients - a director (at his Christmas party) and a producer (on location for her show) who could actually give him a one in a million chance in show business (who you know is a big part of Hollywood) and he has flaked out of both events. I can't even be mad at him for that because who am I to talk? Back in college, everyone was so motivated to succeed... how did I get stuck where I am now? My dreams just went down the tubes. Don't get me wrong, I love working in the entertainment business but I don't even know what I want to do with my life anymore. I'm going to be a business manager on the path I'm going right now and I do like it but is this what I want to do for the rest of my life? I miss school and I do want to go back, either to law school or business school, but the hard part is to take the first step.

Yippee! Basketball game on right now... getting ready to watch my #14 UCLA Bruins get killed by #4 Duke (we lost to unranked San Diego on Wednesday). Duke has 2 cute guys on their starting lineup but no no no - too young!! Bad Lucy :(. Hmmm... unless they're seniors... This is the first UCLA basketball game I'm watching this season and wow - the team has changed since I was in college. Other than Ray Young, Jason Kapono, and TJ Cummings, I don't know too many of these guys that well. I thought Ray Young was the cutest guy ever back then... I was so excited to get that picture taken with him. My standards are way different now. Since I met Dante, I haven't thought another guy was cute in a long time (except for the 'music video boy' in Toya's I Do video).

Dammit - Duke just scored 13 straight points to take the lead. And nevermind about those cute guys on Duke's starting lineup - I just looked up the roster online and I don't know what I was thinking. I also noticed that their point guard spells his name Dahntay... thats just trying too hard to be different.

Just watched a repeat of the new Osbournes episode. I love the part where Sharon, Jack and Kelly were in the limo after Kelly's performance at the MTV Movie Awards sharing a special family moment... then they drive past McDonalds and Jack yells out, "Oooh!! The McRib is back!!" heehee... love this show. And, they also showed the White House Correspondents dinner because Greta Van Susteren invited them. Prez Bush mentioned Ozzy's name and I loved how enthusiastic Ozzy was. Its so heartwarming. There was also this part where Sharon was talking about all the new projects her family has... they show Kelly in the studio, Ozzy on his tour, and then they show Jack sitting inside their gate, working the sprinkler system to spray people who ring their bell...

Major decision coming up at 10:00pm... Revealed with Jules Asner featuring George Clooney, the new episode of MTV Cribs, OR South Park... all of these shows are gonna be repeated repeatedly but I don't know what to do for tonight. I can't tape one thing and watch the other either cause the TV isn't setup for that.

I was watching one of the episodes of Friends I downloaded - The One Where Chandler Hates Dogs - Ross was trying to name all 50 states... I tried doing that too - got 48 states... forgot Arkansas and Nebraska.
DAMMIT!!! No soaps tomorrow. :( Was looking forward to watching Days of our Lives and Passions uninterrupted by that little voice inside my head saying, you'd better get back to work before Stan starts looking for you. I looked up soap spoilers for the week - yippee! On Passions, Ethan chose Gwen and not that manipulative Theresa - hate her!! Bad thing is Sheridan chose Antonio (cause he has supposedly been 'dying any minute now' for the past year) over Luis... Luis is WAY cuter! Whitney and Chad do it again and its gross cause the show has been hinting that they could be half siblings. AND Whitney's sister is in love with Chad and thinks he's her boyfriend... whatever... messed up show but I watch it for the pure entertainment value. Days spoilers - so boring! What haven't we seen before? Bo is in the process of rescuing Hope, John is raising his eyebrow, Marlena is being brainwashed by a DiMera, and Sami is manipulating stuff again. Big Whoop.

Just came back from paying a client's cell phone bill. Damn these terrible drivers in West LA... some lady was halfway in my lane already and I was letting her go but it still took her ALL DAY to do it... then I see like 5 more people making stupid slow lane changes in front of me, just on my drive back to the office. I'm so glad I live 5 minutes away from the office and I can take side streets to get here - don't know how I managed to commute from Anaheim to Downtown LA and from Anaheim to West LA for more than a year, but I know I'll never commute ever again. I love being able to wake up 10 minutes before work and get there on time.

So sleepy today... went to bed finally at 4am even though I took little naps here and there last night. Dante couldn't sleep so we watched Finding Forrester and Eddie (what would I ever do without cable???). I'm waiting for Stan to leave to go work out or something (like he's said he was going to do for the past half hour) and I'm gonna sneak back to my apartment to sleep a little - hey, I'm not being bad, I didn't take a lunch break yet! I have to go to my other job tonight also so I won't get home til about 9:45p... long day.

I love living with Dante so far. So nice to go to bed every night and wake up next to someone you love.

Steph, where are you?? I'm bored to death here, Eileen is on vacation, Dante is working, and it's only Monday morning!!! I have no one to talk to! I have another long day at work cause I have to go to my part-time job tonight.

Busy weekend... overall good weekend except for the UCLA-U$C game where we had our asses handed to us on a silver platter and we still fumbled it! Jenny's roommate Steph's boyfriend Howie wanted to stay until the end of the game so we were stuck there the whole time. Lakers won their games (I love you Shaq), Raiders kicked ass and the Broncos and Chargers lost so now all 3 of us are tied for first place in the division.

Dante moved in on Saturday and I've been pretty happy so far. This way, I get to do whatever I want with my friends/family and still be able to see him all the time. It was nice to wake up next to him in the morning. And it was cool just kicking it last night - we watched the movie D.A.R.Y.L. - I'd never seen it but apparently Dante loved that movie when he was a kid. The only reason I turned to it was because my client was in it and he's still getting residual checks for it. I was amazed - the part at the ATM where Daryl typed in some codes and changed the bank balance from about fifteen hundred to a million, four hundred thousand something went by pretty fast but Dante was able to tell me the exact number. He has a gift when it comes to stuff like that.

I did seven loads of laundry yesterday - spent about 3 hours at the laundromat cause I wanted to get all the loads in at once. It took me all day to fold the clothes, cause people kept calling - it was nice to talk to everyone though. Exhausting weekend - I accomplished more this weekend than any other weekend in recent memory... I even woke up at 7:30am on Saturday because I had to be at Jenny's apartment by 8:30 for tailgating. (Thats earlier than I wake up for work!) The downside of that was I was tired by 7:00pm and I missed Asha's birthday party.

Friday, November 22, 2002

Shaq is back... I was so happy to see him I almost cried... so happy everyone gave him a standing ovation. I wanted to stand up and clap too but I'm alone by myself in my room - that would've been kinda lame. Tyson Chandler is kinda cute too - I like him cause he's a local product and he would've gone to UCLA if he didn't turn pro.
Heehee... Seagal Implicated in Threats... Steven Seagal... Mike and I were working on our Celebrity 5 list and we got creative and came up with the Bench 3, and the list of 5 celebrities we would never date no matter what - Steven Seagal, Anna Nicole Smith, Pauly Shore, Richard Simmons, Jean Claude Van Damme all came up... I won't reveal Mike's Celeb 5 and Bench 3, but here are mine - Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Rick Fox, Eddie Cibrian (Sunset Beach, Third Watch), Zach Braff (Scrubs) and Bench players, Topher Grace (70s Show), Juan Dixon (Washington Wizards) and Mark Derwin (Life with Bonnie)... Shoot! I know I'm leaving someone out though. I always forget who I want so my list always comes out different. The Friends episode (rerun) where they were talking about the Celebrity 5 was just on last week - I love how Ross laminated his final list :).
Bored to death right now... and Stan still hasn't left yet even though he said "I gotta go, I gotta go" to me and my assistant countless times this past hour. Just finished doing these DGA forms for my clients... I wish I were IN the entertainment business instead of on the outskirts of it - even the actors/actresses/directors/writers/water boys, etc. on SUCKY half hour sitcoms (I won't name which one cause I don't want to offend anyone) make more per episode than I do in a year! My job sucks. I guess there are two sides to it though - most of my clients are currently successful in the business and they're making major moo-lah, but I also have some clients who used to be successful and now they're struggling to pay mortgages and bills.
Either way, my job sucks.

It's only 4:30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still have an hour and a half to go :(

Thursday, November 21, 2002

Yahoo! News - Hairy buttocks argument turns violent - all these stupid people in the world... love the first line of the article though - "Mirror mirror on the wall, who has the hairiest buttocks of them all..." I know! I know! But I won't put him out like that :)

Love this Foxtrot comic also...
No Scrubs tonight... could this day get any suckier?? Just left my sucky job an hour ago and I have to go back for another sucky day tomorrow. Eileen left on vacation for 12 days and I don't know how I'm gonna survive at work without our little chats. Saturday I get to watch my sucky UCLA Bruins play those damn U$C Trojans. Not to mention those Lakers... I love them, my dream job is still to work for them but they're sucking it up! Even Rick Fox isn't using his big butt to his potential (Mike says that Rick uses his big ass to push people out of the way for rebounds - if you watch the games, you totally see it!).

What? Nothings wrong with me... not bitter or anything today.

Wednesday, November 20, 2002

Damn, when is the birthday thing?? I'm sitting here pretending to work hard, waiting for the birthday celebration - we're supposed to have strawberry cheesecake for my assistant's birthday. I think I might have lost my appetite though - People Picks Ben Affleck As Sexiest... ugh.
Here I am sitting at my desk and not working... but it seems like no one else is either... I've been driving around running errands these past two days (work related for once!) - had to make sure my client's rent was paid by 5pm yesterday (dropped off a check at their landlord's apartment) and had to run to the bank today to make sure their account isn't overdrawn. Stan is at a seminar and Eileen was at the gym this morning so I had to wait to go to the bank (Eileen and I have a tag-team thing going where if one of us leaves the office for any reason, the other is here to cover)... I was bored and I was getting sick of being on the internet - you reach a point when the internet gets boring after you've been on for a couple hours - so I decide to go to LA Times.com.

I find this article Seven More Shot in L.A. and I click on it cause I did hear something about a bunch of shootings happening in LA recently... I'm reading the article and those streets sound a little close to Dante's place... Western and 76th... I'm thinking, "Wow, glad its not Western and 83rd"... and then I come across - The first attack took place at 83th Street and Western Avenue. Ernest Williams, 17, was shot in the head and later died. and Across the street from one of Tuesday night's shootings, at 83rd and Western, another man was shot to death while standing at a phone booth last week, Miller said. Two days earlier, on Nov. 12, three people were killed along that same expanse of Western. Damn! What the hell is going on?? The neighborhood didn't seem that bad months ago when I used to go over there all the time. Apparently, 13 people were shot between Friday night and Monday. Then, 7 people were shot Tuesday night between 6:40 and 7:10pm - this is so messed up! Dante and I talked about it (HE'S MOVING!! Even if he has to move in with me for a little while, he's moving!!) - he said it was gang related and he went on but I was still too shocked about what happened to remember what he said... He saw the body - after the cops came, all these people were outside and he saw the dead body. He said he heard the gunshots too. The article said something about the area being South Central and I asked him, "That's South Central??? What the hell? Why didn't I know that?? I thought it was just Inglewood, etc." Wow. I've been sheltered. You don't get much sheltered than Orange County (Villa Park especially, although I lived in Anaheim - the "hood" according to the guy from Swingers) and Westwood... I live in Palms (West LA/Culver City) right now and that's not that bad of a neighborhood either.

I guess this is what happens when you watch Seinfeld and Frasier at 10pm and Friends at 11pm, you don't catch any news. The only news I sometimes watch when I'm bored is the Fox News Channel because I can catch that at all hours of the morning, but thats more nationwide.

4 am and I can't get back to sleep... just watching My Best Friend's Wedding right now cause I'm too indecisive to choose another movie and this one was already in the VCR. I wish Rupert Everitt wasn't gay, but maybe that's what makes him the cool guy he is. I really really need to get some sleep though cause I might work for Jay today... Damn me for forgetting to turn on the sleep timer on my TV when I got in bed last night. I thought I was having a dream/nightmare on OJ but when I woke up, it turns out OJ Black/White was on HBO. How weird that thats the 3rd time I've seen something dealing with him in the past 2 days. Yesterday I was watching MTV Cribs and instead of having the Beemers and Porsches, Rasheed Wallace had a Ford Bronco and he said his friends call him OJ sometimes. The other time was when I was at Albertsons and some tabloid had him on the cover again. Enough!

Shoot, the movie is almost over and I'm still wide awake! I'm gonna get back in bed and maybe open up an old textbook or something.

SURVEY!! I found these really cool journals by Caitlin and Charlotte and they have these survey things all the time...
~what comes into your mind when you hear these names??~

Amanda: Amanda Huggenkiss... (Simpsons prank call - Moe: "Hey, I'm looking for Amanda Huggenkiss! Ah, why can't I find Amanda Huggenkiss?" Barney: "Maybe your standards are too high!")
Stephanie: Hsu - friend
Justin: Guarini from American Idol - he's cute but I don't know if I love him more cause he reminds me of Sideshow Bob from the Simpsons
Nick: front desk Nick, Sunset Village - he was hot too :)
Amy: Swee - friend
Sara: ugh - don't get me started... ex-roommate - hated her

Emily: one of Ross' ex-wives on Friends
Daniel: Dante's middle name, except its spelled Danil (his dad's name is Daniel)
Ashley: Judd - she's cool
Chris: another crush from high school, but he spelled it Kris - he had the coolest name: Kris Power
Kevin: & Bean, radio morning show on KROQ
Ben: character from this old soap Sunset Beach, it annoyed Steph and I when we heard Meg (Susan Ward) say his name cause it sounds like "Bin"
Ryan: Hollis - yet another high school crush - Jeremy's friend (why are all these names of high school crushes popping up??)
Sharon: "SHARON!!" heehee, Osbournes, what would Ozzy do without her?
Adam: Steph's friend - the one I keep accidentally calling Andy
Randy: isn't there a country singer or someone named that?
Alex: Trebek! I love it when Will Ferrell plays him on Celebrity Jeopardy (Saturday Night Live)

Gary: The Ambiguously Gay Duo!! (Saturday Night Live)
Natalie: I knew a girl in junior high/high school named Natalie - she was pretty cool
Kara: from Real World Chicago also - didn't like her very much.
Lauren: Lauren from Trading Spaces
Nice relaxing weekend... cleaned the apartment, took care of business (making my parents happy by going home for a couple hours), spent time with Dante, hung out with Nozomi and satisfied my food cravings (crab fried rice, Tom Yum Koong soup, boba tea), and watched the Raiders game. Dante hates the fact that I'm a Raiders fan cause he loves the Broncos. He asked me if I would hate the Raiders for him and I told him, "Sure, for a day... Wait, I'll even give you six days. OK, six days a week every year... AND for seven months out of the year, I can give you all seven days of the week." I can't imagine why that wasn't good enough for him... All my close guy friends (Steve, Mike and Dante) are Libras and Broncos fans... heehee, you can imagine how much fun I had last week, Monday Night Football (the Raiders beat the Broncos 34-10).

I didn't do much when I went to my parent's house. Just watched TV for a couple hours but I caught Trading Spaces Saturday at 5pm instead of 8pm (DirecTV). Those were two good episodes too! I love Vern. If I had a house or condo, I'd hire him to decorate it. That show is seriously the highlight of my weekends. Do you realize you can get a headache from watching too much TV? I seriously had a headache on Saturday. I woke up at 8am, turned on the TV even though there was nothing to watch, was on the phone with Dante for an hour (with the TV on in the background of course), went shopping with him for 2 hours, got back to my apartment, turned on the TV again and watched TV until 3:30p when I left for my parent's house, turned the TV on when I got there, and watched TV until Nozomi and I went to dinner (8pm). Sad thing is, Trading Spaces is the only show I remember watching... might have watched the 90210 reruns on FX too.

I hate Mondays... and now I have a reason to hate Mondays even more. I started a new part-time job last week with this other business manager in Century City. He has the coolest clients - actors/actresses and music producers (at this job, I have actors/actresses too but his are more famous - most of my clients are writers and directors). He wanted me to come in at least twice a week so I told him Mondays and Wednesdays (cause I can't miss Must See TV Thursdays) - I was there until 9:30pm last Wednesday. I work from 9-6 at this job and right after I leave here, I go over to Jay's office and work for a couple hours. Long long days... oh well. The extra income helps.

4 days and there's already 3 streaks of birdpoop on my window! I came into work yesterday for 2 hours cause today is payday and I hadn't turned in my timesheets (PRIORITIES!!), then I left for the rest of the day. I haven't taken a full day off since that one day a couple months ago when I was in pain from cramps.

I know I should get off George Clooney's ass but its impossible because of all the news articles about it - George Clooney Butts Into New Movie... I love this part re: the PG-13 rating - "The question was, 'Are kids in danger of having their emotional lives turned upside down by these images?' As far as Jim G. and I were concerned, the answer was: 'absolutely not.' " heehee.

Monday, November 11, 2002

Yippee! The window washers finally came and cleaned the birdpoop off my window... now I have a clear view of George Clooney (when is that movie coming out anyway?? I need to get my peek of Clooney's ass). When the window washers were here I forgot to close the blinds and like I said, my desk is right in front of the window, so they were looking in and smiling... EWW! I just grabbed my purse and left for lunch. After I moved to this office, it took me a while to figure out that my window is directly below the C in the citibank sign so birds perch up there and poop. I joke around with Eileen that the birds see Dante's picture up on the cubicle wall separating us and thats why my window is covered with poop and her's isn't.

Boring weekend... did a ton of stuff but nothing of note. My sister's engagement party was this weekend and my parents used it to show off their new house to everyone. I was just running around doing errands all weekend. Saturday I had to take my sister to the mall to make sure she even dressed up for the engagement party. Sunday during the party, I was running around Costco and Food 4 Less buying stuff for the party cause they weren't really prepared. At the party, I saw a ton of people whose faces I recognized a little bit but I didn't know where from... and almost all of them were talking to me in Chinese! Just nod and smile. It works.

The Family Man is on STARZ right now. Such a lame movie but I love it. I don't even like Nicholas Cage and I don't understand why anyone would even say that he is cute - my brother used to make fun of all those girls in his chinese school class who used to think Nicholas Cage was the hottest guy ever (young girls don't know anything - this girl in my junior high used to think Scottie Pippen was hot) but that guy gets a lot of good good roles - Gone in 60 Seconds, Face Off, Family Man, etc... I like Tea Leoni though - she seems pretty cool and she has a great husband (I love you too David Duchovny).
me and my sister:

ns9888: hey
ns9888: did u find the place yet?
ns9888: to rent dress
ns9888: ?
Lucyla8: tuxedo or dress?
ns9888: dress
Lucyla8: yeah, eileen says... its called buying and returning :-)
Lucyla8: i know they rent tuxes but i dont know if they rent dresses
ns9888: do you have the number?
ns9888: to the store
Lucyla8: what store?
ns9888: to rent the dress
Lucyla8: huh? try yahoo yellow pages
ns9888: its called buying and returning?
Lucyla8: what??? I was just kidding - its not a store!
Eileen asked me who would win a bitching contest between her and Dante... I really don't know - she's good but don't discount Dante's bitching abilities... So now we have another idea for a reality show. I guess it'll sorta be an American Idol thing where people call in and choose who bitches the best.

Spelling does PR for NBC comedy - Dammit - someone got to her for a project before we did! Eileen, Steph and I were going to write a two hour movie of the week cause it pays about $70,000 (not counting residuals) and one of the conditions was Tori Spelling was going to star in it. You can't have a movie of the week without Tori Spelling! We'll make the lead actor really really hot though to counteract Tori :). I think secretly we want to try to flirt with the lead actor and we're ok with having Tori in the picture cause she's not really competition.
I just realized that the new picture on the huge billboard facing my office window is of Solaris! I'm so happy now - I'm going to be staring out the window even more than I do already. This morning Eileen and I were looking at it and the picture is a guy kissing a girl - we couldn't figure out what advertisement it was for but I noted "The guy looks kinda cute and he's dark enough." That just brightened up my day. Eileen is at a client's house right now so I put a post-it on her window with an arrow and "THAT'S CLOONEY!!"... took me a while to get it in the right spot though.

Just watching Will and Grace right now - Jack and Grace came up on $30,000 and the first thing Jack wanted to do was buy an Audi... YEAH! I love my Audi and I'm glad its getting some recognition :). I usually don't watch Will and Grace but its on right after Friends and since there's nothing else on, I just keep it on Channel 5.
Just watched Catching up with the Osbournes - oh my gosh I missed this show! Best show on TV by far. I love Ozzy and I admit, before this show, I had no idea who he was... just thought he was some freak. Jack and Kelly bicker/argue just like my brother and I do except they're funnier and they curse way more. I've downloaded all the Osbournes episodes off Kazaa and I can't wait until the second season starts... November 26!!

Nozomi just sent me this link: Big Stink Over Clooneys Butt... I read the first sentence of the article and talk about great advertising for the movie. I'm definitely going to go see that now. I have to find a girl friend to go see Solaris with cause I can't drool over Clooney with Dante sitting next to me.

WHOO HOO!! March 2003 - Osbournes DVD comes out with 4 new episodes... I'll be first in line to get that.

Dante and Johnny were over at my apartment practically all day. Dante finally called me at noon and I saw them at lunch. After work I picked up McDonalds and we watched Monday Night Football. Pretty fun but all 3 of us were cramped in my room - my room is a decent size but I have no decent seating, just a leather chair for the desk, a wood $15 chair from Linens 'N Things and the bed. I have a 2 bedroom apartment but we hardly ever use the living room because there is no TV or stereo in that room and everything I have is in my room - TV, computer, VCR, DVD, fax, etc. Shoot! If they were here all day, that means there's probably porn on my computer now. :( [shaking my head] 21 year old boys... They were over here a little while yesterday too - I was in OC all day - I had no idea they would be here or else I'd have cleaned up a little before I left. I just hope there was no underwear, etc. sitting out. I'm a slob when it comes to my own stuff but if I know someone would be over or just that my mess would affect someone else, I clean up really good (i.e. throw everything into my huge closet and close the door).
found another one of these questionaires on someone's journal and decided to fill one out for myself:

I WANT: to go home
I REGRET: ... don't get me started
I WISH: Dante would call me already! haven't heard from him yet today
I LOVE: spending time with Dante
I HATE: stupid people
I MISS: being in love - the honeymoon period
I SEE: work piled up on my desk
I HEAR: Eileen yelling at her husband on the phone
I SEARCH: for a real man :)
I WONDER: if I'll ever find a job that I love
I KNOW: my current job/salary sucks big time

I am SO bored
Monday morning and alone in my office again... Eileen isn't in yet but she went up to Mammoth again this weekend (they have a house up there) and thats a huge drive so she might as well make it worth it. Everytime we say goodbye and she knows I'm going to see Dante, she tells me to "go get some" - I hope she "got some" this weekend :)... Back to topic - I was telling her last week that I wanted to call in sick this week and before I could say anything else, she said, "I got Monday!" Darn it! Why am I so slow when it comes to these things? Sometimes Dante and I aren't in the mood to drive when we want to go somewhere so we'd "call it" for the other person to drive. He gets me 80% of the time cause I forget about our arrangement.

Anyway, instead of being productive at work before Eileen comes in and we start chatting all day, I'm typing up Dante's friend Johnny's resume for him. I came up with a good general objective though - Seeking an entry-level position in the retail industry that allows me to contribute my proven troubleshooting and customer service skills. copied it off the msn.com website though :(. I'm not creative with these things! My old boss Mona helped me make mine great. Instead of Secretary, she changed it to Legal Assistant. Instead of [working under my sister who was a manager at my brother's company], she changed it to Assistant Manager :).

Ok I gotta update one more time before I get off work because Eileen and I chat so much during work and its kinda funny so we need to keep track of all this stuff for our sitcom idea... we've already lost so much valuable material by not recording it in some way or other.

We were talking about how our assistant is off on his honeymoon in Hawaii and he'd be back in the office tomorrow... She asks me, "How many times do you think they did it?" EW EW EW too gross to think about. Our assistant is this guy from Bosnia who grew up in Israel and came here for college - he doesn't really "get it" (by "get it" I mean understand stuff people who grew up here understand) and, to quote Eileen, "he looks like the big V." I tell Mike this and Mike asks "Is she hot?" (the wife) and I reply, "We don't know, but we know he's not!" Man, we're so mean! This is the Seinfeld influence in our life!
Wow - you guys are gonna realize how bored I am at work today cause I'm gonna be posting like mad... Steph is moving into her new office so she's not on AIM as much this week and usually our days consist of IMing all day, starting at 9am (when I get to work). Usually at 9:15am, Steph will start IMing me, "I want to leave already." Worlds collide (Seinfeld reference) when Steph and I are both working hard at the same time. I found a new IM buddy this week - my friend Debbie, but we haven't been chatting too much yet. Mike is back on the east coast now and hes working at the hospital so I cant chat with him as much as I used to. Steve is online all the time but hes hardly ever there he just has his computer on 24/7 like me. Grace is also one of those who is always online but hardly ever there. My other friends have real jobs where they cant be on AIM at work.

I watched Life with Bonnie last night and my favorite part was their Halloween costumes - David Alan Grier dressed as Serena Williams and Bonnies son dressed as Conan OBrien. So CUTE! That show is pure comic genius. I love Bonnie Hunt. The first time I saw her was in Only You with Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey, Jr. and I've loved her since.

The Laker game sucked cause they lost but they were without a ton of people. Rick Fox was at the ring ceremony looking as fine as ever but hes suspended for the first 6 games of the season. Oh dont get me started on Doug Christie either I just found out how whipped he is. I cant believe people have known about this so long and Im just picking up on it now! People have been making fun of him for so long without me!! Steph gave me the background on Saturday and I looked it up on google.com. I found a ton of great websites making fun of him; this is the best one - "The Official 2002-2003 Doug Christie Post". Here's the New York Times article on their "unique" relationship and here's a picture of them. With all that I heard and read, you would have thought she'd be pretty like Jason Kidd's wife... My brother says Doug looks like Janice from Friends. When I heard that I started laughing because he really does!

I love Shaq - he has the best quotes! Here's some recent stuff I found from the LA Times -

That being said, the Lakers and Kings aren't close to being done with one another. Asked during Monday afternoon's luncheon about his toe, O'Neal smiled wryly and said, "It feels pretty good. I had Doug Christie's wife massage it for me."

O'Neal did some light court work Monday. Asked if his dash down the hallway Friday night counted as a rehabilitation exercise, he claimed he hadn't run, but had an explanation for his quick arrival beside Fox. "You ever see Jason from 'Friday the 13th' run?" he asked, smiling. "No, but he always got there."

Classic.
I really really need a new man. Its the only way to get my mind off Dante. I wish I still worked downtown cause I used to meet a ton of people everyday. I think it was also the type of work I did downtown though - I worked for a criminal defense lawyer and I was her sole employee so I had to go to the bank to make her deposits, the courthouse to file papers, etc. I was out and about and meeting a ton of people and I totally miss that. Before I met my boyfriend, I was flirting with a guy at the bank (Merlo), a guy at the courthouse (Jose), a security guard in my building (Damien) and a guy who worked on the 26th floor of my building who I saw in the elevator all the time (Sam, I think). Century City might even be cool for me to meet people. Instead, I'm stuck in the one office building in the middle of a residential area, with only 3 floors of offices!! (bottom floor is the bank, then there are 3 floors of parking, then 3 floors of offices) No one cute or even my age on my floor... Hmmm, there is this cute guy on the fifth floor of this building though - HEY, if you work on a 5th floor of a building that sounds like mine, and you've smiled at a girl who is constantly out in the hallway talking on her cell phone, introduce yourself!! :)

Eileen keeps telling me to go to the Bally's at the Culver Center cause there's cute guys there and my new roommate keeps seeing guys she wants to introduce me too. I just need to meet someone!!

Wow - that was 2 straight days of productivity at work for me... well, except for the 4 hours I was gone during the day. I snuck out in the morning on Friday to go to the doctor and I took my usual 2 hour lunch to hang out with my man. I didn't get a chance to post last night because I was so busy. I got a chance to kick it with Dante and then after he left (on bad terms), I went to Orange County to hang out with Mike, Nozomi and Amy before Mike's flight back to Rhode Island this morning. I'm watching the Trading Spaces repeat right now and I can't believe Hildi painted her face on that person's wall! Steph and I went to the Camarillo outlets today and then had dinner at her place (she loves cooking). It was a nice change of pace from my usual weekends where I'm usually in the apartment waiting to see if Dante will call or come see me.

Shoot - I was actually productive at work today. I don't even know where to start in this journal... I guess another reason I decided to create one is because my on and off boyfriend hates how I tell my friends too much about our relationship and this is a better way of getting things off my chest. His name is Dante and he is not only the love of my life but also the person I can never completely have. We've been "dating" since July 3, 2001 and this whole time I don't know if he has ever been faithful to me but it is hard for me to break it off because he is my first love and it is tough to let go of that first love, no matter what a jerk he is and no matter how bad he treats you. He has never been abusive to me but he hasn't treated me right either. We have nothing in common and come from different backgrounds, yet I cannot get enough of him. In my head, I know he is not the person I will spend the rest of my life with because I don't see the "house with the white picket fence" dream coming true with him, but it is hard to convince my heart that. I don't know why, but even with all the bad, I would be happy to spend the rest of my life with him... I guess it's because I don't know anything else. I don't know how another person would treat me so I don't have a basis for comparison.

Anyway, enough depressing stuff. I'm sure I'll go into more detail about that later anyway. I don't have much of a life. I spend my days at work and most of my nights alone watching TV. I hang out with friends but I never want to make definite plans with them, in the hopes of spending time with Dante. I drop everything any time Dante says he wants to hang out together and most of my friends are used to that. I tell them to make plans on their own and I'll join them when I can. Not the best behavior when it comes to keeping friends but my friends understand. Damn, I sound like such a loser. Bad way to make a first impression, especially since this is my introductory post.

Is it normal for someone to be so in love with someone who doesn't completely return the love? The only relationship I can compare this to is Carrie and Mr. Big (Sex in the City). This is sad to say, but even if I do meet an Aidan, I couldn't give up my Mr. Big.

I know I said I'd stop talking about him (for this post anyway) and I promise to do that now. I love TV. I need it on in the background all the time. I used to even watch infomercials but I've realized I have enough DVDs and videos to keep myself entertained when there is nothing on. I'm addicted to the shows Friends, Scrubs, Trading Spaces, Life with Bonnie, Everybody Loves Raymond, Real World... hmmm, thats all that comes to my mind right now but I watch way more than that. I used to watch Seinfeld, X-Files, and Ally McBeal (until Robert Downey, Jr. left) religiously. I was a TV kid also - my friends and I can get into long discussions about the shows we used to watch when we were kids - Alvin and the Chipmunks, Family Ties (Alex P. Keaton was the reason I'm a Republican), Jem, Care Bears, Beverly Hills Teens... ah, memories. Time to head out... post more later tonight.
This is it. The first post. I decided to do an online journal because I see so many people do it... now how the hell do we change what the background picture looks like.

The first post is always the hardest because I need to give background information. Actually, the first month of an online journal is tough. You want to get things in to let people know who you are. I'll post more later I guess, cause right now I have to actually do something at work. My co-worker (and ex-roommate) Eileen and I spend so much time goofing off everyday so I'm sure I'll be able to start my journal sometime today.
